Vosne-Romanée (153 hectares) is home to some of the most prestigious and rare wines in the world (Romanée-Conti, la Tâche, Romanée St-Vivant, Richebourg, etc… ) It is the patron saint of saints. The extension at the southern end of the famous La Tâche Grand Cru (a monopole of Domaine de la Romanée-Conti) is called « Aux Malconsorts ». This appellation has a total surface area of 5.86 hectares and benefits from an exceptional position with an altitude, an exposition and a soil type very near to its famous neighbor ; for all purposes, it is a Grand Cru [is this what should be on the site]. Domaine de Montille has the privilege to farm two parcels in « Les Malconsorts », one with a surface area of 0.89 hectare that covers the cru from top to bottom with soils in the top portion (light brown and stony clay) different from the very complementary soils at the bottom of the slope (deep red clay). The second parcel (0.48 hectare) enjoys a unique placement and is vinified and bottled separately under the name « Aux Malconsorts – Christiane » (see the technical sheet).
