Opinia o "wybitnych ustach" w przynajmniej niektórych winach w³oskich znajduje czasem potwierdzenie :). Ale tym razem w poszukiwaniu Sassi z pozdrowieniami dla Peyotla, m.in. z okazji wino13458#40597 :) i z przeprosinami za seriê fotek - nie wiem jak je za³±czyæ w jednej notce.

Kto¶ zna notkê Parkera dla tego rocznika? Jako¶ nikt nie podaje opisowo tej 85! Za to 95 u Tanzera jak najbardziej (pralinka) :

(85% cabernet sauvignon and 15% cabernet franc): Deep, bright red-ruby. Aromas of ripe red cherry, dark plum and kirsch are complicated by sexy woodsmoke, eucalyptus and bay leaf. Silky and rather lush, with considerable sweetness and creaminess to its ripe, sweet flavours of cassis, blackberry jelly and ripe black plum. Finishes with fine-grained tannins and lingering notes of minerals, herbs, dried flowers and smoke. Displays lovely balance and good length on the rich, seamless, creamy-ripe finish, which exhibits a lingering menthol note that reminded me of a Napa cabernet. The 2000 vintage was a warm one, especially in August, with some varieties such as merlot reaching high sugar levels before full polyphenolic maturity was achieved. However, the combination of a cooler microclimate and old cabernet vines allowed Tenuta San Guido to make a better wine than many on the Tuscan Coast this year.

Le migliori annate del Sassicaia Bolgheri DOC

Dal secondo dopoguerra (1948) agli anni '60 il Sassicaia fu prodotto solo ad uso interno nella Tenuta San Guido : la prima annata di Sassicaia immessa nel mercato dal Marchese Mario Incisa della Rocchetta fu la vendemmia 1968. Si trattò già di un'annata eccellente ma , sebbene l'immissione sul mercato fosse stata preparata come per un Gran Cru bordolese , il vino era ancora agli albori del suo successo , tanto che venne prodotto in sole 3000 bottiglie.

Altre annate eccellenti furono la vendemmia 1975 e la vendemmia 1977 , ma si dovettero aspettare due annate storiche come la vendemmia 1978 e , soprattutto , la storica vendemmia 1985 perché la perfezione di questo vino e la sua fama facessero il giro del mondo. Altre vendemmie memorabili dopo l'annata 1985 furono l'annata 1988 , l'annata 1990 , l'annata 1995 , l'annata 1997 e l'annata 2004. Le annate più recenti , sebbene possano essere valutate a livello climatico e di vinificazione , sono ancora troppo acerbe per poter essere giudicate nel pieno della loro maturazione.
